This white stoneware dish has multiple functions. Use it as a candle holder, spoon rest, small serving dish or trinket tray. It was hand built from white stoneware clay and carved with a one-of-a-kind illustration. The drawing was carved into the clay with an x-acto knife and other tools through a layer of wax resist. A dark underglaze was inlaid in to the carved lines to make them pop. After a bisque firing an assortment of glazes and underglazes were applied with a brush.
